The spacing between the radiator support and the cross member is crucial for properly adjusting the hood.
It won't likely be the exact same gap for every truck. Close enough isn't close enough. It needs to be spot on.
The gap at the rear of the hood and the front of the cowl needs to be between 1/8" and 3/16" and parallel all the way across.
Once you have the hood perfectly adjusted, you are done with it. No more adjustment of the hood will be needed.
Once you are done with the hood, then you adjust the fenders upwards until they match the underside of the hood.
