A picture of the part is worth a thousand words.
JB weld has gotten me out of some serous binds. It is the only viable way to repair pot metal. Welding, soldering, brazing, soldering are out of the question.
Pictures of your broken part and a description of where the stresses on the part will be would be helpful for coming up with a plan of action to fix it.
