So, I got a starter repair kit from NAPA for a 235. I noticed the starter drive is shorter than the original. Will the new one work, I don't know how much shorter it could be and still engage the flywheel. Also, is there a trick to pull the old starter drive off, I cannot find anything that seems to be holding it on, I already removed the snap ring, but the gear seems to get stuck at the groove where the snap ring went.
