The spacing of the carb flange bolts are different, as well as the throttle throat size. The 235 carb is slightly bigger, and calibrated for the larger displacement engine. You could hog out the holes in the carb and make it bolt on, but possibly a better solution would be to use the 235 intake manifold assuming you have one.
