larry - That wide spark plug gap could mean a PO (previous owner) installed an HEI distributor (the HEI modified original distributors have a small cap that make them look very much like an original distributor). I'd do some closer inspection of what you have before you change the gaps. An HEI distributor will work best with the proper larger than stock spark plug gap.
