For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2024 Posts: 386 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2024 Posts: 386 | I have searched this site and the manuals I have and have not been able to find the torque sequence and specs for the installing the intake and exhaust manifolds.
My engine is a 1954 235ci with hydraulic lifters.
A search of the internet provides conflicting data.
I may very probably overlooked the information, but even a search of the Old Car Manual Project site didn't give me an answer.
I have read on this site to install and torque both the manifolds before tightening the bolts that hold one to the other, but I can't find specifics as to sequence or torque.
My impression is that the bolts with the clamps have different torque specs than the rest.
I assume that all the answers I am looking for are readily available...but I have not been able to find them.
Thanks!
