The last picture does not show the bed wood bolted down. I'll upload that within a week. Still need to make some stake sides too.

Here's the bed in place finally, Used Rustoleum sold in quarts & rolled it on. When its scratched or faded in the future, I'll just roll some more on.

My best option for was once again Douglas fir. I used (6) 2"x10"'s & (1) 2"x12" in the middle. This pic shows using my table saw to cut a groove for the metal strips. Works pretty good, not perfect. (not building show truck)

I stained the wood using "English chestnut" & Cabot's Australian Timber oil. Which is a blend of Linseed & Tung oil. Easy to apply & redo in the future.
