I just purchased a 54 GMC dually truck. Although it needs a lot of work, the bones are pretty solid. It originally came with a hydromatic transmission, which I was able to find in Texas, and I want to install soon. Meanwhile, I have ordered new floor panels, corner cabs, inner and outer door bottom skins.
I'm sure I will be reaching out for some help as this project progresses, which may be quite a while since I am also in the process of building a new 48' x 63' shop. I have attached pics, and if anyone can help me with identifying any info about the truck off of the serial #, that would be a great start.
