| Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,820 | There's one more source of a leak that hasn't been mentioned yet- - - - -the core plug at the back of the engine behind the camshaft. That's a pretty unlikely situation, but I've seen it happen on occasion. The most common leak is the rope type oil seal at the back of the crankshaft, just ahead of the flywheel. Good luck! Jerry
