The only consideration in my mind is where will you put it so it doesn't interfere with the opening of the tailgate??? Maybe if you wanted it to still reside somewhere under the tailgate, you could reverse the mount so it sits as flush as possible against the the rear bed sill. The tailgate might drop down over the mount and plate, eliminating any location restrictions. Or just drill holes in your rear sill where you want to mount the plate and bolt it directly on???
