My truck is a 1953 3100, engine is 261, carb is Rochester B. My throttle cable housing can be clamped but the thin inside cable cannot be fastened. The best I can do is poke it through the hole of the accelerator linkage and bend it around. Is this correct?
Leo, there is already a hole in the throttle rod. You have a cotter pin in it now.
When I went to the Auto Parts store to buy the Dorman cable stops, they didn't have any in stock. I went down the street to a bike repair shop and they gave me this one. They have millions of them for brake cables. It has an Allen head set screw.
