Thanks! It looks like my guesstimate was pretty close! I'm figuring out connecting rod length and piston compression height for a 2.75" stroke small journal forged crankshaft (destroked 283) in a 305 block. 243 cubic inches with a slight overbore (3 3/4"). It looks like NASCAR H beam rods 6" long and pistons for an AMC/Jeep 258 engine will work with the stroke length I want. Lots of metal butchering involved- - - - -which I love to do!
