My 1947 3100 has a 1959 235 engine. I removed the 13mm drain bolt on the lower left side with intentions of draining and cleaning the block. However, nothing came out. I tried to push a small punch in the plug hole and apparently it is frozen up with gunk because it won't go in. Would it be safe to use a drill and a small drill bit to get it unplugged? Also, when I tried to screw the plug back in it just would not screw back in. I will say it took quite a bit of torque to remove this plug. Thought about putting the plug in freezer overnight to see if it would help. I would appreciate any suggestions from anyone else who has had this issue.
