| | | | Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,777 Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) | | Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,777 | I'd suggest adding a pretty good quantity of non-alcohol 87 octane regular gas to increase the burn speed a little to avoid overheating the exhaust. When I was running an autocross course with a Sunbeam Tiger as a member of the Okinawa Sports Car Club back in the early 1970s, a friend on the flight line at Kadena AFB kept us supplied with 115/145 avgas for that car. We mixed it 50/50 with 87 octane regular and had very good performance.
