No need to explain. I have wood that I’ve moved twice. One was a plank of red Philippine mahogany, my father had back in the 60’s that I’ve been using small pieces of on various projects over the years. The other, I have no idea what it is. It was given to me from a logger that stored two pieces in my garage for several years he took one and gave me the other. I have not idea what type of wood it is. All I know is it’s from Africa, 4’ long by 2’ wide but here’s the mystery. The middle is 2-1/2” thick and tapers down to nothing on both sides. It’s estimated that the tree was at least 8’ in diameter. It would make a great coffee table. I haven’t got a “roundtoit” so it keeps following me.
