The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Engine Shop Replacing rear main seal w/o removing engine

I’m needing to replace the rear main seal and oil pump on my ‘54 235.

Are there any special or specific tools needed to replace the seal without dropping the crankshaft? I’ll be using original style rope seal.

Does anybody know of a shop in SE Tennessee that could do it for me as I don’t have a lift and laying under the truck in gravel does not sound like fun.
