They are better than nothing and if I can remeber correctly the owners manuals in the some of older cars states that the oil should be changed every 1000 miles. We drive our cars alot more miles today than they did back then and I quess those filters did the job. Use a good oil and change a few times a year depending on how much you plan to drive | | |
