Use Wix or Napa 33033. The filter is usually mounted inside the frame, just before the fuel pump. So that needs a hose anyway at filter outlet to pump inlet. The inlet side of filter is just one extra hose. That short hose is attached/clamped at one end to the 33033 inlet and the end other to a hard line flare from tank. The flare acts as a perfect seal for a hose clamp.
You can't have a hard line to the fuel pump inlet. Motor moves independent of frame.
You will be OK with rubber hose. It's made in China.
