Hi Folks;

Newly acquired '55 2nd Series, all original, no power brakes. I just rebuilt the stock master cylinder, flushed the lines, and vacuum bled the brakes in the correct order. I have about 7" total brake pedal travel, and I'm getting a hard pedal at about 3 1/2". Is this about right?

I haven't driven a vehicle with manual brakes for 40 years or more; and I've totally forgotten how these things are supposed to feel. I rebuilt the master to get me at least some brakes now to move it in and out of garage; I'll do a full brake job, new updated master, possibly front disks etc... after I retire in a year or so.

Thanks

Geoff
