Can anyone help I’d my VA please.

It has 9 stamped above the outlet port.
143 stamped on the clamp and 568? Stamped on the actuating arm.

My fitted VA seems to be faulty (distributed not rotating when engine revved).

This came off a parts distributor and after a lot of gunk cleaning looks ok, actuator arm moves slightly when sucked on.

Will this suit on a 235 55Z numbered standard engine?

I’ve ordered a NOS one off eBay but 3-4 weeks is normal delivery time, so I thought I’d use this one in the meantime if it works.

Any help with what the numbers actually mean and what vehicle it’s for would be appreciated.
