52Carl's real world experience with a tire diameter change is what I'm more interested in.
Anybody out there have a Task Force truck with a 235, three speed transmission, 338 gears and 30" tires? How does the truck perform with that tall of tire? What kind of RPMs are you turning at 60 MPH on a flat road? What's your average MPG?

I recently swapped rears in my 1951 and accidentally ended up with a 3.38. I was concerned that I’d be needing to slip the clutch from a takeoff. Can’t really say that there’s much difference there from the 3.90 it replaced. I have 215/85r16 tires. They are 30.5” tall.
