A lot of the race cars I built ran SS armored flex brake lines without a rubber covering over the braid. Those lines probably had a pressure rating far in excess of a normal rubber covered flex line. My only concern about a street machine might be exposure to rain, road grime, and salt that a racer probably wouldn't encounter.
