Merely getting the dang things properly seated in both head and manifold. Couldn't split intake and exhaust so it was heavy and awkward to get in and out. Plus, being 70yo with health issues doesn't help.
I ended up grinding a chamfer on the intake manifold and the rings. Seemed to help but still not a design easy to work on.
Project not completed yet. I ache all over so, I took a day off.
