Set the idle speed close to your desired idle, then turn the mixture screw clockwise until you see the vacuum start to drop. Back the mixture screw out (CCW) until you get maximum vacuum, then go approximately 1/8 turn richer (CCW). Do a final adjust on idle speed without messing with the mixture any more.
Step 2- - - - -Find a comfortable chair and pop the top on your favorite adult beverage. Repeat as required. Wait six months and readjust for any weather changes. People who get obsessive-compulsive about carburetor adjustment probably also lie awake at night wondering why the faucet in the kitchen sink isn't dripping! Jerry
