I have hooked the vacuum advance to both places with the engine running and it didn't make any difference. I do not want to offend anyone, but my advice regarding a monojet is the same advice my father have me a few months ago: Throw it away, and buy a carburetor! I'm on my second monojet. This one is a new remanufactured, and it doesn't work any better than the old one. I simple aquired a different set of problems. I am switching over to a Holley-Weber 5200.
