The GM HEI pickup coils are available at any corner parts store, and they can be adapted to a stock stovebolt distributor with a lathe and the average machining skills learned in a high school machine shop. The GM trigger module can be mounted to an aluminum heat sink anywhere on the vehicle, including under the dash, away from engine heat and weather concerns. I see no reason whatsoever to spend outrageous sums of money on a piece of junk with proprietary parts when a better electronic ignition system has been on the market for about 50 years.
