For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,740 Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) | | Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,740 | I have a couple of modified stands that are safe for stovebolt engines, and I just bought one from Harbor Freight that's rated for 1500 pounds, and has folding legs long enough to extend well beyond the front of a stovebolt with the bellhousing attached. When not in use, it will fit into a corner of the shop. It also has a worm gear box that allows the engine to be turned to any convenient angle for assembly or maintenance. A little over $300.00 for a one time purchase of a safe, sturdy engine stand is CHEAP health insurance! https://www.harborfreight.com/1500-...tand-57745.html?_br_psugg_q=engine+standJerry
