I also got confirmation of my number from Brad Allen. He PMed me a picture of a 52 Chevrolet book which shows a picture of a generator with the tag with my number on it along with text which specified that it was for '52 trucks.
All I need to do now is have the commutator turned a bit on the lathe to true it up and replace the rear bushing. The front ball bearing has no up and down play and turns smooth as silk. The rear bushing isn't all that loose and the shaft is smooth, but I have a bushing laying around somewhere.
