My guess is it left the factory with just the frame stamped serial number which would NOT have the 'series designation' included...frame numbers start with the YEAR, then PLANT and then UNIT number (starting with 10001). So, Chevrolet stamped the frame 58F115229 and the body builder added C5812E.
