Hi all, I haven't been on in a while and finally getting my '53 3600 216 running.
The Carter YF carb had issues, so I took it apart, cleaned and rebuilt it with a kit from the carbking.
All seemed fine. I'd adjusted the linkage for choke and throttle and it ran fine for at least fifteen minutes a few months back
Next time- recently - tried it and it wouldn't start: just crank, or fire sporadically try, then sputter, and nothing.
I've checked most of the potential problem causes ignition, timing, fuel filter, lines, pump...) and am wondering about the throttle plate:
Potential Issue? ==>. there is a slight (maybe < .5 mm) gap in the throttle plate when it's closed (I had to rethread the shaft). Is that contributing to or the main problem? flooding at startup
