Seriously, you ought to get a firetruck! I think everyone should have a firetruck. They're a gas and a half to go riding around in. Of course, mine is just barely a fire truck -- take the pump, lights and siren off it and it's just an old truck with a big steel box on the back of it. There was a great truck available back home in Maine (naturally, right AFTER I bought mine) it was one of the CCKW-based ones (Same Darley pump as my truck) turned over to rural VFDs after the war. It was a beautiful truck that was operational until they sold it. Seems like a lot of reserve apparatus from small VFDs has been hitting the market over the past few years as Homeland Security money trickles down. I wonder if that means the good old days of cheap antique firetrucks from VFDs are about to come to an end?
Unfortunately, that exercise in Winchester told me that a big rig COE is not a workable idea. It would work if you three guys just happened to be here whenever Peggy needed to get in it ... Of course, having you, Bill and Grigg as neighbors would be cool (The Mennonite community might never recover...)

Well got to get outseide -- one of our Bradford Pears shed half of itself over night. Right onto some of our christmas trees. Nothing like firing up the chainsaw on a holiday morning.
