About 50 years ago Fel-Pro introduced a "Perma-Torque" gasket for many engines but they didn't release one for the 235 until maybe 15~20 years later. I tried one when I had to do a valve job on my head and here are two things I learned: they are thinner than the copper sandwich gasket (which has been discontinued) and two...they can suffer oil leaks and when they start leaking nothing you can do seems to help. These gaskets are not reusable so if for some reason you get a leak, it seems you just get to live with it. DC Gaskets (Guanajuato) used to be Fel-Pro Mexico, but that has been a long time ago so I wouldn't say they're still the same as Fel-Pro. Late 1970s I'm thinking they no longer operated as Fel-Pro but you should check me on that. Some love this gasket and others don't. I'll be interested to see what you hear from the gang.
