I'm doing the research now. Egge Machine has pistons and a complete rebuild kit, just north of $2000.00. Talking with cam grinders, giving them the weight of the truck, the gearing and overall use. I did manage to locate an NV4500 transmission, so now I will have overdrive. The 261 will no doubt be a fall and winter project this year. I don't want to cut corners, but I also don't want to do any unnecessary work either. As I said I want a solid, strong hard pulling engine with good low to mid range torque.
