MickeyP, See the screen grab below from fellow Bolter rooney3100's 1956 3100 Gallery photos. Shows the installation location and orientation you seek. Mount bolts on the back side of the plate mounting bar go through the rear bed cross sill to secure to the truck if IIRC.
