1965 C60 rebuild- Two speed rear. Thinking about adding a magnet in the bottom section of the rear end housing. The fluid i pulled out originally was horrible to the point it turned back in to rubber like in the bottom. Got all that removed and scraped out as best i could. Was going to fill with good fluid run it for 50ish miles and change again. Has anyone addded a magnet to the rear to collect metal trash that may have been not caught?
Was thinking about using something like this- anyone have thought? Cannot imagine it would hurt unless it got dislodged although i think that's very unlikely.
