No adhesive. It's retained by 4 short "rubber" strips/bumpers/spacers. Probably single side or double side sticky. Look at used 55-59 cluster parts for sale on Ebay, you will see the old worn out "tape" or it's witness marks on the mask plate. The lens is more or less retained by assembly pressure. I think one sided sticky would be best."Weather strip"/ door seal/ HVAC stuff.
