The Stovebolt Site Forums The Parking Lot Big Bolts Wheels, now replacement wheel issue (split rims)

My original wheels are 3/8" thick in the center where they bolt on and that's 6/16 or 12/32". The new wheels measure 15/32" in the center, so that's 3/32" different. A pair of them would be 3/16" or 6/32" thicker. So a 3/8" longer stud would do the trick nicely. As an aside.. it sure is a good thing we can't just use millimeters like the rest of the world :-D

And now I know I need to order 20 of these studs for my rig too, since I'm gonna have the rear hubs off to check the brakes and replace the wheel cylinders anyway. I wonder if the old studs would fit the front hubs, and wind up sticking out farther than the stock ones owing to not going through a hub flange as well as a drum.
