Given the nature of the rubber bushing shackle, it would settle a touch after adding load. But the critical thing is to get the rear cab shackle set correctly along with the front cab mounts, and the radiator support. After that, if a couple of people pile in (on average heavier today than they would be in the '50s) whatever movement is just what it is.
I would use that 0.76" with a fully assembled cab and let it go at that.
