Patrick Dykes did this about 25~26 years ago, Jerry. That is to say he had a tail section cast which would replace the 4 speed tail section (as I recall would also have replaced the tail section for the 3 speed but at that time there was more interest in the 4 speed to get the more shallow drop-off in gearing). I have no idea who did this for him, but you could attach the AD torque tube ball right to it. Is this what you're talking about doing?
