New fuel pumps are all garbage from China. Measure fuel pressure and volume output at the carburetor.
In the meantime, find an original fuel pump or an American made one from 30+ years ago and have it rebuilt by Then & Now Automotive.

Regardless of how clean your carburetor looks, you'd be wise to rebuild it properly.
