I need to check template and distance measurement for EACH side. A good point! As far as hole sizes, I purchased the size of drill bit per the instructions. I doubt that I had the template off that much when the holes were established. The instructions did state to measure from the center of the original spring perch bolt hole which I thought was a little sketchy. As I recall another option was to measure back so many inches from the front of the frame rails, (I don't have the options for each measurements in front of me while writing this memo, they're in my shop). As I recall, they were in the 18 to 20 inch distance back to the center of the crossmember.
