If the '51 GMC is the same as the '51 Chevy, you'll need two u-shaped crosspieces that bolt under the top flange of the frame, and a bar that holds the spare tire, which pivots on a rod hanging from the front crosspiece driver's side and is secured to the rear crosspiece on the passenger side.
