If the sizes are different then you can tell by measuring the bolt hole distances, if an old intake manifold was for a 216 or a later 235. Pretty good information for all of us to have for buying at swap meets, e-bay etc.
Can somebody measure the heat chamber mounting holes (on center) , cross corners, of a known 216 and of a known 235? This is important since we also need to machine the ports if we buy a 216 to use on a 235. Knowing what it's really for will avoid any surprises later.
