I have a '59 235, it has the large canister filter that U-bolts to the exhaust manifold. Someone had put the wrong element in it so I went on a short wild goose chase.
The one that fits mine is a NAPA 1100 element. They actually had it in stock! If your's is like mine, you have to siphon the oil out of the canister, as there is no drain plug.
