Lots of work on Brad's part ... pure enjoyment (and references) for you!

1949 GMC 1 Ton - non dually 216 with floor shift Originally a Saskatchewan Truck
Planning to: - Put a 9’ bed on it (bought a 9’ Chevy bed)
- Coil over suspension (because I live in Canada and I think bags might be a bad choice for this climate, not that I’ll ever drive it in snow) - IFS in the front (any kits for a 1 ton out there?)
- 4 Link rear (all suggestions welcome on this!!)
- 1987 S10 2wd rear axle 3:73 gears (drums for now but will do disks if I can afford)
- L92 6.2L swap (bought it already)
- T56 6 speed (all suggestions/alts welcome on this!!!)
- original chassis but going to box it and notch it
- Detroit Steel Wheel Smoothies (20” front 22” rear)
- Relocate Fuel tank to bed frame
That’s the plan anyways. Anyone gone this route with a 1 ton???? Let me know, I’d love to chat. | | |
