| | | | Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 Riding in the Passing Lane | | Riding in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 | I was watching Stacy David's show (Gearz) on the Motor Trend channel this morning. He is showing how to replace a dist. in a Jeepster. I believe it had an AMC V-8 engine.
After removing the cap & wires he picked the old one up & set the new one down in. "Make Shure it drops all the way down" which it did. I used to wish it was that easy.
24 out of 25 times they do not mesh with the oil pump without turning the engine. He did not say anything about lining up the position of the rotor.
