Many thanks. I knew that at some point the truck motors were using the same or essentially the same block as the passenger block, just with solid lifters. I just never knew exactly when that change occurred.
So if I understand your response, 56 and up passenger motors drilled for hydraulic lifters, truck 235 blocks only from 58 and up drilled for hydraulics. 261 truck blocks were drilled at some point in the later production, 261 Pontiac blocks were drilled for hydraulics.
