I'm running a 12 bolt posi in my 1946 1/2 ton panel. It's out of a 1967-69 Camaro/Firebird. Bolts directly on to the stock leaf springs, with lots of room for wide wheels and tires. These 12 bolts have become quite pricy, but the 10 bolts of the same genre can often be found for reasonable prices, and should hold up fine behind a 6 cyl.
