I'm going with a 4" drop custom width axle from Pete and Jakes and Superbell. Designed to leave the ground and safely return to earth. Roller bearing king pins. Custom spindles that are early Ford with Heidts spindle pins (done by me). I'm running a 12.88" rotor that requires at least a 17" rim. IMHO an AD without a straight axle is like a warm beer. It's still a beer but not quite right. Properly set up with the right springs and bushings and a good sway bar there is nothing wrong with a straight axle. That spring has no idea if it's straight or coiled. The magic is in the shocks.
