Biggest problem with the Q is the soft metal body. Shaft holes usually need rebushed to stop leaks when rebuilt. Easy way to fix it is to got to a 600 cfm Holley or Eldelbrock. Cost is in the $200-250 range for a factory rebuild.
Edelbrock is making a new q-jet, which looks like a good one, but it ain't cheap.
